The Premium Web, Decoded
2026
A study of the current premium web, pulled from fresh inspiration galleries rather than the usual award lists. It names a five-law formula for why the best sites feel expensive, and then obeys its own laws so you can watch the argument work.
It exists to make taste explicit. 'Premium' is usually a feeling; this pins it to specific, repeatable moves — a three-voice type system, one signal colour, radius zero, big scale jumps, motion as reveal.
What to take from it: let the artefact prove its own thesis. A page arguing what premium looks like has no excuse not to look premium — the demonstration is the evidence.
