Into the Unconscious
A study of Freud built around one shape doing two jobs: an interactive iceberg diagram where the visible tip and the submerged mass are conscious, preconscious and unconscious thought — then a toggle overlays the 1923 structural model, id, ego and superego, onto that same outline. Five tap-to-reveal case studies (Anna O., Dora, Little Hans, Rat Man, Wolf Man) carry the clinical work, and the cocaine years are given real weight rather than a footnote.
It exists to hold the man honestly. The Oedipus complex is presented as genuinely contested, not settled fact, and the caveats are named directly — Popper's falsifiability critique, the sexism critique, the abandoned seduction theory.
What to take from it: when a subject already has a famous diagram, don't redraw it as decoration — make the diagram the interaction, so understanding it means using it.
